The cost for a full day trolling trip from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM is P 700.00 including the gas.

The cost for a full day bottom fishing trip from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM is P 600.00 including the gas. Wreck fishing is also available. Mr. Cacho is familiar with known wreck spots.

The boat owned by Mr. Cacho is a 8 meter (24 feet) local boat known as a "banca" which has outriggers on both sides of the boat and powered by a two-stroke 16 horsepower single engine.

The boat is about two and a half feet wide and can accommodate two passengers only.

It has no roof or shade whatsoever and only a slab of wood is used as a chair.

I recommend bringing your own meals (you are expected to provide the meal for the fishing guide), life vest, umbrella or full length clothing for protection against the elements (long-sleeve t-shirt with hood & water-proof jacket or poncho), portable urinal,  portable seats not more than 2 & 1/2 feet wide and an ice box.

I would also recommend bringing a hands-free radio transmitter because it is nearly impossible to communicate with the bangkero while the engine is running.

Mr. Cacho is fluent only in the Filipino language and an interpreter is needed for a foreign visitor.

Two rod holders and two gaffs are provided by Mr. Eddie Cacho.

Mr. Eddie Cacho comes highly recommended by me and other Sportsfisherman from Manila.

Please reserve and check weather & water conditions with Mr. Cacho at least two days before and the night before your scheduled trip to avoid unscheduled cancellation of fishing trips due to bad weather.

Sleeping accommodations is available at El Piscador Resort at an affordable rate of P 500.00 for a standard room with air-conditioning and private bathroom. Two single size beds are provided.

Cellular coverage is available via the Smart cellular service (Analog service only).

An in-house restaurant is available and pack lunches can be requested.

Travel time from Dagupan City can take anywhere between 1 hour (strait route without detour) to two hours from a distance of 98.5 kilometers although 2 hours is a more realistic estimate due to the detour in the neighboring town of Bani.

Travel time from Manila can take 4.5 hours (Average speed of 60 kph/hour by car) from a distance of 274 kilometers although some anglers prefer to travel via bus (Five Star, ordinary class - no air-conditioning), leaving Manila at 12:00 AM and arriving at 5 to 6 AM in Bolinao. The then takes a 5 minute ride via tricycle to Barangay Concordial. Anglers then catch the 8 PM last trip (Five Star, ordinary class - no air-conditioning) back to Manila and arrive in Manila before 2 AM the next day.

This is a much more relaxing and cheaper way to travel than bringing your own vehicle.
